Welcome to Student Transportation Services of Central Ontario (or STSCO for short). We have recently made some changes to the homepage to make it more user friendly and to provide the most pertinent transportation information to families, students, and the public.
At STSCO, we take very seriously our responsibility to maintain the privacy and security of student information. The purpose of this message is to let you know about an incident that recently occurred. IMPORTANT NOTICE:
On Feb 7, while posting an update regarding bus operator negotiations on Facebook and Twitter, we inadvertently posted an internal staff training document. This document contained a link that allowed access to student contact and busing information.
As soon as we learned of the issue, we removed the postings and the pdf and closed access to the database. We were able to identify a small number of files where private information (e.g. date of birth, address and busing information) was accessed. We have notified the affected individuals and apologized for the mistake.
We want to assure our families that we took immediate action to correct this issue, and have put measures in place to prevent it from happening again. Again, we sincerely apologize for this error.

Bus Driver Labour Negotiations Update for Routes Operated by First Student’s Bowmanville Branch
This note provides an update on contract negotiations between First Student and Unifor, the union representing the company’s Bowmanville school bus drivers.
We have learned that negotiations between the union and the company are continuing through the weekend, and are scheduled to resume March 19.
In the interim, busing will continue as usual for students who ride First Student Bowmanville buses.
Students, therefore, will be picked up at the usual time on Monday and over the coming weeks. As always, bus service will be cancelled only in case of inclement weather.
We will continue to keep families up to date on any further developments.
